9 out of 10 cardiac arrests which happen outside of hospital are sadly fatal.
They can affect anyone at any time, including of course at work.
Every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces the chance of survival by up to 10%.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a crucial step in the chain of survival.
Defibrillators are often the next step of that chain and are proven to save lives.
Whilst they are simple to use, training ensures familiarity and confidence that they can use one if required to in a high pressure, critical situation.
10 minutes
This is for employees who wish to learn specifically how to save a life through CPR and through the use of a Defibrillator (AED).
If an individual has already completed the First Aid at Work course then there is no need to complete this course too as they will already have covered the topic in sufficient detail. But of course anybody is welcome if a refresher is required.
Simply put; the ability to save a life.
