Wellbeing Curriculum & Events
Whether it’s part of the PSHE Curriculum that you need some support with, or if you’re considering a wellbeing event – for pupils or staff – we have a range of ideas to help embed wellbeing related learning.
We recognise that there are parts to the PSHE (“Personal, Social, Health and Economic”) curriculum that you, as a school or college, are best delivering.
However, the Government also emphasises that “Schools are free to use the organisations and resources they choose, and we encourage organisations to develop guidance for schools in the areas of their expertise.”
So, if you need support delivering any challenging PSHE curriculum topics such as drug and alcohol or relationship and sex education, then please contact us.
Again, you are best able to advise pupils about revision and exam techniques and strategies.
But performance can be affected by a variety of things, such as they are eating right, getting enough sleep, and coping with heightened anxiety levels.
Hearing it from another voice can help.
We can offer workshops or deliver an extended assembly to help maximise your pupils’ chances of attainment.
Events for wellbeing in schools are becoming a popular way to signpost intent and commitment to staff wellbeing.
Of course, this needs to be backed up with consistent culture and behaviour, but a school wellbeing event can be a great way to encourage employees to evaluate their health, fitness and wellbeing.
As a result, it can have individual benefits as well as an organisational level by boosting morale and potentially productivity.
Not only that, employees are likely to feel a sense of appreciation that their school or college should invest in such initiatives.
We can support you in a range of different ways, depending on what you’re trying to achieve.
We can also offer initiatives for pupils too.
Testimonials
The four Health and Well-being workshops, delivered on a carousel basis, used a wide range of techniques to deliver the information and actively encouraged the pupils to engage in group discussions and make use of various kinaesthetic tools. In all of the workshops, students were consistently on task, enthusiastic in their learning and demonstrated high levels of interest. Feedback from students was incredibly positive and the students were particularly complimentary about the ‘fun and interesting way the information was delivered’.
I was delighted with the workshop delivered by Life Factory and the positive outcomes have been visible with almost immediate effect. For example, a week after the session our school hosted a ‘water week’ to encourage pupils to put into practice the health benefits of hydration, as discussed in the workshops. I would recommend any relevant work to other establishments and I hope we can continue to work together in future years.
