Course Content
Course particpants will be able to:
Act safely and effectively in an emergency or if an accident occurs
Recognise and administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and understand how to use a Defibrillator
Recognise and treat somebody
– having a seizure
– who is in shock
– who is unconscious
– who is choking
Treat bleeding, burns and fractures
Keep simple records following an accident at work

Assessment
An instructor will provide on-going assessment, rather than a final assessment.
Takeaways
A certificate, which complies with the HSE’s First Aid Training Policy, will be issued upon completion.
This will be valid for 3 years.
A First Aid training manual will also be issued.
