Act safely and effectively in an emergency or if an accident occurs

Recognise and administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and understand how to use a Defibrillator

Recognise and treat somebody
– having a seizure
– who is in shock
– who is unconscious
– who is choking

Treat bleeding, burns and fractures

Keep simple records following an accident at work

Format

Training can be either on-site*, or at a local training venue.

Although the course duration is 3 days, this does not have to be consecutive.

Our aim is not only to get participants through a course and gain a qualification.
It’s also to do it in an engaging and enjoyable way.

Our instructors are experienced at delivering courses using a variety of media including video and presentations and encourage hands on learning and practice to reinforce learning.
Maximum number in a training course will be 12.

Assessment

Your instructor will provide on-going assessment, as well as a final assessment.

Takeaways

A certificate, which complies with the HSE’s First Aid Training Policy, will be issued upon completion.

This will be valid for 3 years.

A First Aid training manual will also be issued.
